Meet the Host: Eunice Naffie Mustapha

We are delighted to introduce Eunice Naffie Mustapha as the host for the upcoming webinar on the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Sierra Leone. Strong Girls Evolution hosts this session in collaboration with partners and will take place today, March 30th, at 7:00 p.m. (Salone time), under the theme: “Give to Gain: How Can We Harness the Responsible Use of AI to Advance Gender Equality?”

Eunice Naffie Mustapha is a lawyer and policy specialist with training in law and responsible artificial intelligence. As Founder of Strong Girls Evolution, she established a platform dedicated to convening the next generation of female leaders. Her work reflects a multidisciplinary background in AI and its applications across sectors, contributing to ongoing conversations on ethical and responsible technology.

Her professional experience includes serving as a Consultant at Women First Digital in Sierra Leone, where she advanced the local deployment of an AI-powered sexual health chatbot, contributing to improved access to reliable, technology-driven sexual and reproductive health information.

Last year, she participated in the Women Elevate Program at the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), a UNESCO-affiliated center dedicated to promoting ethical and human-centered artificial intelligence globally. She holds certificates in Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals from ICAIRE, AI & Law from Lund University, and AI and Digital Transformation in Government from the University of Oxford, reflecting her commitment to integrating technical knowledge with legal and policy frameworks to support responsible innovation.

She is also a member of the AI Community of Practice, an initiative affiliated with Qhala that brings together innovators, practitioners, and emerging leaders across Africa to collaborate, learn, and co-create practical AI solutions that advance inclusion, livelihoods, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence.

Recent activities of Eunice include her acceptance into Chatham House’s Common Futures Conversations and induction into the Colin Powell Leadership Institute (CPLI), where she contributes to global discussions on leadership, policy, and inclusive development. She was also recruited by the Lancet Commission on Faith, Health and Trust as an Affiliate, contributing to research on the role of trust, ethics, and belief systems in global health and governance.

Through her work, Eunice continues to operate at the intersection of policy, ethics, and innovation, contributing to efforts that advance responsible frameworks for equitable and sustainable technological development.
