We are delighted to introduce Sunnah Augusta Jaba-Sandi as a distinguished speaker for the upcoming webinar on the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Sierra Leone. This session, hosted by Strong Girls Evolution in collaboration with partners, will take place today, March 30th, at 7:00 p.m. (Salone time) under the theme: “Give to Gain: How Can We Harness the Responsible Use of AI to Advance Gender Equality?”

Sunnah Augusta Jaba-Sandi is a Sierra Leonean lawyer and a dedicated advocate for the rights and protection of women and children. She serves as the Executive Director of Strong Girls Evolution, a personal development and networking organisation committed to empowering young female Sierra Leoneans. She is also a member of the A+ Alliance Community Learning Programme, a platform focused on harnessing artificial intelligence to combat digital violence through feminist principles, collective knowledge, and sustainable change.

At the intersection of technology and gender justice, Sunnah is developing a dataset on technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Through this work, she maps case studies across Africa to generate evidence that informs practical interventions and policy solutions aimed at improving the safety of women and girls in digital spaces.
