Women First Digital Sierra Leone, in Partnership with Girls’ Skill Training Platform, Hosts Awa Evolving Circle. On May 21st, 2022, at noon, Women First Digital Sierra Leone, in partnership with Girls’ Skill Training Platform, held a “Mixed Awa Evolving Circle” in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
About 36 participants attended the said Circle. The attendees were males and females between 18 and 27 years old. The circle’s focus was to ensure that participants were informed about where to get reliable information for their sexual and reproductive health needs, identify social issues affecting their lives, and build their capacity.
Women First Digital, a platform that provides reliable information on sexual reproductive health and rights, and its websites, www.findmymethod.org, www.safe2choose.org, and pinkshoes.org, were deliberated on. The Circle was very interactive, as topics like Gender-Based Violence, Entrepreneurship, and Abortion (safe versus unsafe) were discussed.
